Claim your deskProof that you wrote it
Inkbreaker has no AI writing tools, so a piece is composed by you, not generated for you. Every piece keeps a timestamped, fingerprinted record of when it was first written and how it changed since. Share a public proof page anyone can read, or download a tamper-evident copy with the first-seen date, content fingerprint, and full edit history as evidence for a copyright claim. A piece typed in place, with no wholesale paste, also earns a "Composed in Inkbreaker" mark. And if someone posts your work here, you can file a DMCA notice from our support page: we review it, can lock the content fast, notify the author, and handle counter-notices.
Who can find it, who can read it
Publish to everyone, keep a piece unlisted so it opens only by direct link, or leave it a private draft. Hand an unpublished draft to a beta reader, an editor, or an agent with a private link, and revoke it any time to cut off access. Turn on reader protection to discourage casual copying and add a credit line to anything a reader copies, and set the rights notice shown under the piece.
Your profile, on your terms
Keep your profile and pieces out of Google with one toggle, or make your whole profile private so visitors see only that it exists. Your direct links keep working either way, so you can still share on your own terms. We are honest about the limits: nothing on the open web can stop a screenshot or a determined copy, because the words load in the reader's browser. These tools raise the friction and make a stolen excerpt traceable back to you.
