Caratteri

Every writer has twelve standard fonts. With Pro, or while your trial runs, you can also choose from about 1,800 more, and use them in the editor, in Imprint, in Cover Studio and on your Creator Page.

I caratteri standard

Serif, Georgia, Times, Garamond, Palatino, Sans, Arial, Verdana, Trebuchet, Tahoma, Mono e Courier sono per tutti, con ogni piano. Scegline uno dal menu dei caratteri nella barra degli strumenti dell’editor, o per tutto il pezzo dal menu Formato dell’editor.

Il catalogo che arriva con Pro

In fondo al menu dei caratteri, scegli Altri font… per aprire Tutti i font, tutto il catalogo in un’unica finestra. Con il piano gratuito quella riga ha un’etichetta Pro e ti porta alla pagina dei piani. Durante una prova è aperta, con un’etichetta che dice che è tua finché dura la prova.

Dove usarli

• In the editor. Set a font for a whole piece from the Format menu, give a heading style its own font, or select a few words and change just those.
• In Imprint. Choose the Body font, the Initial font for drop caps, and the Typeface for chapter headings. The fonts are built into the designed EPUB and the print-ready PDF when you export, so the book looks the same on every e-reader and on paper. Those two exports come with a paid plan; see Making an EPUB or print PDF book.
• In Cover Studio. The cover fonts are open to everyone, and More fonts… opens the whole catalogue. See Cover Studio.
• On your Creator Page. In the Look tab, choose a Font for headings and a Font for text. See Your Creator Page.

Trovare un carattere

Cerca per nome, oppure ordina per Popolari o Dalla A alla Z. Restringi l’elenco per tipo: con grazie, senza grazie, da titolo, scritti a mano, macchina da scrivere, pixel o gotici. Adatto a mostra solo i caratteri che hanno le lettere che servono alla tua lingua, come russo, giapponese, coreano, cinese o greco. In cima, i caratteri suggeriti sono quelli adatti allo stile su cui stai lavorando.

I lettori vedono i tuoi caratteri

Una pagina carica solo i caratteri che usa, direttamente da Inkbreaker, così le tue scelte si vedono senza rallentare la pagina. Un pezzo che usa solo i caratteri standard non carica niente in più.

Se il tuo periodo Pro finisce

I caratteri del catalogo che hai già scelto restano sui tuoi pezzi e sui tuoi libri, così niente di ciò che hai fatto cambia aspetto. Potrai aggiungerne di nuovi dal catalogo quando tornerai a Pro.
