Screenplays

A script that reads like a script, from the first scene heading to the last revision.

Choose Screenplay as a piece's writing type and the editor lays the page out the way a script reader expects. Scene headings, action, character names, parentheticals, dialogue and transitions format as you type, and dual dialogue sets two speeches side by side.

When the draft goes out, lock the script. Scene and page numbers stay put, a new scene becomes 12A, a cut scene leaves OMITTED in its place, and every later change is marked in the next revision color. Print the full script or only the revised pages.

What it does

  • Scene headings, action, characters, parentheticals, dialogue and transitions, formatted as you type.
  • Locked scene and page numbers, A and B scenes, OMITTED, and revision colors from Blue to Pink and on.
  • A full script PDF or a revised pages PDF, with your title page.
  • Brings in Final Draft, Fountain, Fade In and Highland files, and sends scripts back out as Final Draft, Fountain or Fade In.
