Track changes

Propose every edit, read the pass back, and keep or drop each change.

Turn on Track my changes and the editor stops overwriting your draft: additions go down in their own ink, deletions are struck through instead of gone, and a revision panel lists every change with its own accept and reject. Read the pass back when the dust settles and decide, one change at a time, with your base draft untouched until you say keep.

It works the same when the hands are not yours. Invite a collaborator into a piece and their edits can arrive as tracked suggestions for you to accept or decline, so a second pass never overwrites the draft. The marks travel too: export to Word and pending changes arrive as native Word revisions, ready for an editor who lives in Word to settle them there. The revision pass is free for every writer.

What it does

  • Additions and deletions marked on the prose, with the draft untouched until you accept.
  • A revision panel that lists every change, with accept and reject for each and for all.
  • Keyboard-first review: arrow between changes, A to accept, R to reject.
  • Collaborator edits can arrive as tracked suggestions to accept or decline.
  • Word export carries pending changes as native Word revisions. Free for every writer.
