Page Count Estimator

See how long your script runs, and where the acts land.

Claim your desk

The Page Count Estimator turns your word count into an estimated page count, the rough one-page-per-minute measure every script is judged by. Then it breaks the estimate down act by act, so you can see whether your structure sits where you want it before you ever print.

Pick a two, three, four, or five act structure and it shows the target page range for each act beside your own. A first act that runs long or a third act that comes in thin shows up here, while it is still easy to fix.

What it does

  • Estimates total pages from your word count at the standard script density.
  • Breaks the page count down by act for two, three, four, or five act structures.
  • Shows the target range for each act beside your own, so pacing problems stand out.
  • Runs on your live draft or a saved script, on its own page or inside the editor.
