Account and settings
Storage
How much room your account has, what fills it, and how to make more.
Everything you keep on Inkbreaker lives in one space: your pieces and their version history, your worlds and every world tool, plans, canvases, collections, sites, letters and readers, images, fonts and files, forms and their answers, messages from your sites, a team’s records and the submissions sent to its inbox with their files, your import history, and what you write in the community and in messages. You can see how full it is, and what takes the most room, in Settings › Storage.
Some things never count: your authorship record (the revision log and timestamps that show the work is yours), notifications, XP and streaks, and your account itself.
How much room each plan has
- Free: 1 GB.
- Pro and lifetime Pro: 15 GB.
- Pro trial: the free plan’s 1 GB, until you subscribe. A team you start on your trial uses it too.
- Team: a team has no space of its own. Its work fills the space of the person who owns it, which their own writing and their other teams share. A team seat never adds room.
- Studio: the owner’s space, plus 5 GB for each Studio seat, for the studio’s work.
The largest single file you can upload is 10 MB on every plan.
When your space is full
Nothing is ever deleted when a space is full, and everything stays editable. Only new pieces and new uploads wait until there is room again.
The same goes for files other people send you. While your space is full, a team’s inbox and your forms still take pasted pages and answers, but files wait: the form says so before anyone picks one, and you are told once. Make room and files open again at once.
Making room
Settings › Storage lists what fills your space, largest first, and every line has Review & clear. It shows each kind of thing on that line that can be cleared together, such as read messages from your sites before a date, old form answers, import history or a team’s declined submissions, with how many and how big before anything goes. You can download exactly what you are about to clear first. Anything that is not cleared together links to the page where you delete it one at a time.
The three things that usually free the most:
- Old version history. Clearing it never touches your writing record. Named versions and versions attached to tasks stay.
- Images you no longer use. Open your image library and delete the ones that are not attached to anything.
- The Trash. Pieces in the Trash still take room until the Trash is emptied.
Book covers and the art inside them do not count toward your space. They have their own limit of 500 designs and source images.
Teams you own
Use View at the top of Settings › Storage to switch between your own space and each team you belong to. A team you own counts toward your space; a team someone else owns says whose space it fills. On a team, owners and admins clear its storage, and members see the sizes.
