Inkbreaker's free tier is complete. The core writing, practice, and community experience is fully available without a subscription.

Free includes

• All exercises, beginner through advanced, with at least two free exercises per writing type

• All leaderboards: activity, weekly challenges, skill, and local

Community: what is free and what is Pro

Most of the community is free. The line is drawn around the few actions that create lasting commitments or that a throwaway account could abuse.

Free for everyone:

• Joining and taking part in Chapters, including Chapter chat
• Reading, posting, and replying in the Forum
• Entering competitions and earning XP (your rank is shown free)
• Reading lists, craft notes, book reviews, and the Library
• Receiving direct messages
• Listing yourself as a sensitivity reader or beta reader, and giving those reads

Pro, with your trial counting:

• Leaving inline comments on a piece (reading them is free)
• Track changes and real-time co-editing
• The full per-metric breakdown on your competition results
• A profile accent colour and theme

Pro, on paid plans only:

• Creating a Chapter (you keep running any Chapter you made even if your subscription ends)
• Sending direct messages
• Requesting a beta read
• Requesting a sensitivity read
• Custom images and avatars, including your profile cover banner

Pricing

$9 a month, or $65 a year (about $5.42 a month billed annually).

Every new account gets a 30-day Pro trial at signup. No credit card required to start. Your trial includes every Pro feature except the four paid-only community actions above (creating Chapters, sending direct messages, requesting beta reads, and requesting sensitivity reads) and image uploads. The free tier is the full platform. Pro adds deeper analytical tools, the advanced formatting modes, and the live collaboration features, for writers who want them.
