Getting started
The desktop app
Inkbreaker on your Mac or Windows desktop, with offline writing and its own quiet window.
Inkbreaker has a desktop app for Mac and Windows. It is the same Inkbreaker you know, in its own window, with a couple of things a browser tab cannot do.
What the desktop app adds
- Writing offline. Your drafts, your worlds, and your solo workspace keep working with no connection, and sync when you are back online. See Writing offline.
- Its own window. No browser tabs, no address bar. Just your writing, from the moment you open it.
- It stays current. The app keeps itself up to date, so you always have the latest version without a manual download.
Getting it
The desktop app is available from the Mac App Store and the Microsoft Store. Search for Inkbreaker, install, and sign in with the account you already use.
Everything else comes along
Your pieces, worlds, chapters, community, and exercises are all here, exactly as they are on the web. Nothing to set up twice, nothing to move across. Sign in and your writing desk is already laid out.
